who we are

| who we are Candid Wines is a the result of a partnership between Scott Kerrigan and Damien Casten, two wine lovers who spent significant time in the corporate world before listening to the voices in our heads. Surprisingly, the voices were saying the same thing to both of us: start a business doing what you love, do it honestly, and when necessary, travel the world in search of great wine. We have both dedicated sections of our basements to wine, only to be horrified at how quickly more space is needed. Our personal collections tend to lean towards traditionally styled wines that work well with food. We both cook and savor the moments when we find a perfect pairing. Scott's knowledge of California has opened a new world up to Damien, while Damien's time in France has led Scott to expand his collection of small producers from the Loire. In 2007, Scott and Damien were joined by Connor O'Rourke who has rapidly become an integral part of the team. Connor has come to wine in much the same way as his partners: he just couldn't find a happier way to earn a living. |
