Meet Fred Scherrer of the Scherrer Winery

at Standard Market, March 15, 2012, 6-9 PM.

Standard Market’s featured winery and winemaker of the month of March is Fred Scherrer of the Scherrer Winery in Sebastapol, CA.  On March 15th we will pour a selection of Fred’s Zinfandels, Cabernets, Pinots and his wonderful, age worthy Chardonnay, plus a special treat from the cellar to demonstrate how remarkable Fred’s wines are with a few additional years of age.

Fred oversees every detail from vineyard to winery at his small, 5000 cases production winery, and he personally puts the cork into each of the roughly 60,000 bottles he produces each year.  This might sound crazy, but it ensures his customers that every bottle is filled properly and personally inspected.
