| Fred and Paul, together at last... Candid Wines was thrilled to present a one night only event featuring two virtuosos of the food and wine world performing together at last. Dinner with Fred Scherrer and Paul Virant! These guys make wine lovers happy! Each is a master at transforming terrific natural ingredients. While Fred prefers to ferment, Paul might pickle, sear, or braise. The results seem to have been made for each other. FOOD & WINE recognizes them both as being amongst the best in the country at what they do. Fred's Old and Mature Vine Zinfandel is a "Top Five Insider Zin" while Paul earned praise for creating one of the "Best Restaurant Dishes of 2006". Paul Virant and his team offered five courses of food and wine pairing nirvana, and the event sold out. Along the way, Fred commented that his Scherrer Vineyard Chardonnay "never tasted as good with food as with this dish..." Don't miss other Candid Events...
